Terms and Conditions
1. All goods supplied are on a hire only basis and ownership remains with Kit and Caboodle. Hereafter known as the Hiree.

2. The Hirer is the person named on the booking form. The Hirer takes responsibility for the goods under these terms and conditions.

3. The hire period is up to 48 hours before and 48 hours after the event. This can be extended at the Hirees discretion for which a charge may be levied. It is the Hirees responsibility to arrange with the venue timings for drop off and collection of goods.

4. A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a booking. Until the booking form (signed by the Hirer) and deposit is received back to the Hiree then no booking will be deemed to have been made.

5. The balance is payable in full 1 calendar month before the event date. If a booking is cancelled more than 1 month in advance then no more is payable, if a booking is cancelled within 1 month then the full remaining balance is payable. These monies can be used against a future booking within 12 months if the original event is postponed. Bookings made within 1 month of the event date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

6. The Hiree will provide a cost of delivery/collection based on a round trip mileage to/from the delivery destination specified by the Hirer. This cost is for delivery by the Hiree in their own vehicles and not an outsourced courier.

7. Should the Hirer choose to organize their own transport, the hirer must be aware that they are fully responsible for all goods until returned to the Hiree. The Hirer will pay for any non-returns, damaged goods or breakages to the Hiree at full retail value. Retail prices available on request.

8. The Hirer shall be solely responsible for the Hired Goods not the reception/event venue/hotel/florist or any other third party to whom shall take possession of the Hire Goods. The Hirer shall be alone responsible for insuring the Hired Goods are kept in good order from the time of receipt of delivery until back into the possession of the Hiree. Therefore agreement of a good provision of storage must be made and organized directly with any third party involved for any hired goods if you are leaving at the venue prior to our collection or your own return delivery on the agreed date. The returns form must be filled in and signed and all goods packaged in the boxes provided ready for collection/return.

9. The Hirer will pay for any non-returns, damaged goods or breakages to the Hiree at full retail value. Details of the retail value of Hired Goods can be provided on request. The Hiree will take a pre-authorisation fee on the Hirer's credit card to cover any costs incurred. No monies will be taken prior to the agreed date of return.

10. The Hiree shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property however sustained arising from any Hired Goods from Kit and Caboodle.

11. Should we be required to dress an event or collect out of hours (before 9am, after 5pm) or on a bank holiday this may incur an additional charge to cover Staff Wages and Incentives. Please do check your Venues Terms and Conditions regarding Setup and Collection times prior to accepting our Terms and Conditions/Making your Booking.

12. Any of our goods which are weather damaged as a result of being used outside will be chargeable

13. Where a hired items is returned to us badly stained or soiled, or may require additional work to get the product back to a re-hirable standard, there may be an additional cleaning time added to your account. Examples of this are; Carpet Aisle Runner used outside with grass/mud stains, Candelabras/Mirrors with candle wax.

14. In adverse weather conditions such as snow and ice, it is Kit & Caboodles decision not to deliver/setup hired goods to the venue if it jeopardises the safety of our staff. We will endeavour to get the hired goods to the venue and exhaust every option that is available before cancellation of the booking. It is the responsibility of the hirer to make sure the hired goods are insured for such incidences.

15. The Hirer assumes complete responsibility for loss of, or damage to the hire products (other than fair wear and tear) from the time the equipment is delivered to the venue/premises, and until it is collected. The charge will be for the cost of replacing the equipment with new stock. For a full list of the prices please contact us. We strongly recommend you taking out wedding insurance for such instances.

16. By accepting the booking form you are happy for us to take payment from the Pre authorised card for any missing/damaged items at replacement cost. If we do need to use the Pre Authorised card then we will send you a receipt along with a description of the goods that were missing/damaged. Any payment taken will also include a £1.00 transaction fee. We strongly recommend that you sign the hired items in and out before they are collected by our stylists. If you are unable to do this we will check the items at both the venue and our warehouse and our decision is final.
